Summary: This position is responsible for providing audio visual support for classes and special events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The following duties are considered essential to the job. With or without reasonable accommodation, qualified individuals must have the to perform the following duties:
    • Set up audio visual equipment for professors, staff, faculty, etc. as needed or directed.
    • Work with professors, staff, faculty, visitors, etc. as needed to set up presentation, music, etc.
    • Open up and secure classroom audio visual “black boxes,” including set up directions as needed.
    • Set up/break down chapel equipment, such as microphones, cables, musical equipment, etc.
    • Operate sound board and other equipment as necessary or required for events in the various buildings.
    • Verify and enter audio visual set up requests in the AV master calendar.
    • Edit and upload audio/visual data for the library, professors, and for those purchasing CD/DVD recordings of events.
    • Perform additional duties as required by management.

Education and/or Experience: A High School diploma or general education degree (GED). At least 18 years old; Must be able to read, speak and understand English to effectively communicate and to safely perform work. A valid CA driver’s license is required.

Language Skills: Ability to read, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers and fractions; Understand weights and American currency.

Other Abilities and Skills: Must be self-motivated; Ability to pay attention to detail and follow directions.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, continuous walking, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to twist, bend, climb stairs, move furniture and equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet through moderate noise can occur at meetings and social events.
