Summary:

Luis Cardenas, pastor at First Bilingual Baptist Church, spoke on the biblical importance of meeting together. "Verse 25 says we should be encouraging one another. That's why we meet. Any one of us can stay at home alone and sing Christian songs. We can stay at home alone and find a great sermon to listen to by ourselves. So why do we meet? Why do we do it together? To encourage and to edify. Admonition is just an element of encouragement. The idea is that we are being used by God to change someone else, to challenge someone else, or to cheer them on. We might be adjusting the trajectory of their day or of their week or helping them stay the course. We should remember that our brothers and sisters are just like us, and pastors or elders are no exception. We're weak. We get easily distracted. We have relational conflict. We all need encouragement."
