Summary:

Dr. Josh Mathews, professor of Old Testament, joined us to deliver an expository message on Psalm 19, emphasizing the goodness and value of God's Word. "If what this Psalm has been saying about the scriptures is true, if it's truly as valuable and beneficial as David is saying that it is, then it's only reasonable that we should want to take it in. That we should want to let it shape us. And yet we know, I think we can all admit, that so often we have a hard time seeing this. We probably all have experiences times were we don't have this kind of deep desire to know God through His Word, even if we know we should. These Psalms help cultivate in us a desire for God's Word. This Psalm reminds us of the truth of what the scriptures are. Their invaluable qualities and their great benefit to us. We can trust the Lord to help us. He will bring joy to our hearts and enlighten our eyes as we cultivate habits of seeking Him and His Word."
