Master's Degree Programs
Master of Divinity | 90 Credits
The MDiv is a three-year program that prepares students to engage the world with the gospel. Students in this program develop through challenging classroom experiences, guided ministry encounters, and spiritual mentoring with experienced faculty members.

Master of Theological Studies | 49 Credits
The MTS is a flexible program that combines foundational training in theology and biblical studies with open electives for specialization in students' interests.
The MTS with a concentration in either theological or biblical studies is a fast-track to doctoral work - pursuing either of these concentrations allows students to earn prerequisite courses for Gateway's PhD program.
Master of Theological Essentials | 36 Credits
The MTE provides core theological education for ministry leaders receiving vocational training at their church. Courses include New Testament I&II, Old Testament I&II, Christian Theology I&II, Church History I&II and more.
Master of Arts in Educational Leadership | 49 Credits
The MAEL equips students to lead educational ministries in churches, parachurch organizations, and denominational agencies. Concentrations include children's ministry, youth ministry, women's ministry and more!
Master of Arts in Christian Counseling | 50 Credits
The MACC equips students to lead educational ministries in churches, parachurch organizations, and denominational agencies.


Master of Global Engagement | 49 Credits
The MGE allows students to engage the world from a biblical worldview in order to accomplish the Great Commission. Prepare for a career serving in the mission field overseas!
Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies | 49 Credits
The MAIS incorporates training in theology and intercultural research to prepare students to reach an increasingly urban and culturally diverse world with the gospel.

Gateway Online
Earn any master's degree completely online - no campus visits required. Access courses from any location and at a pace that suits your lifestyle.
Master's by Exception
Gateway Seminary will consider applicants lacking an accredited undergraduate degree for admission to its basic master's degrees. A student must request admission under this provision in writing through the Office of Enrollment and may initiate this request only after all qualifying criteria have been met:
Applicants must demonstrate their ability to do graduate-level work by entering the Seminary as a diploma student and by completing at least 15 hours of Gateway Seminary coursework required in the master’s degree sought (at least 6 hours of introductory courses in New Testament, Old Testament, history, or theology) with a minimum GPA of 3.2. Electives, transfer credits and ADVANCE courses may not be used to satisfy this requirement.
This provision will not be granted to previous students who graduated with diploma degrees.
