Position Summary:

The Enrollment Communication Specialist role involves strategic follow-up communication and relationship management with prospective students in Slate while Enrollment Specialists are traveling, ensuring consistent engagement and movement toward enrollment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The following duties are considered essential to the job. With or without reasonable accommodation, qualified individuals must have the ability to: 
    • Execute timely and strategic follow-up communication with prospective students through Slate, including email, phone, and text outreach.
    • Monitor prospect and applicant activity in Slate and proactively move students through the enrollment funnel.
    • Coordinate with Enrollment Specialists to maintain continuity of communication and ensure seamless handoffs.
    • Notify applicants of outstanding requirements and provide clear guidance toward application completion.
    • Respond to incoming calls and emails, providing accurate information and directing inquiries as appropriate.
    • Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions and update Slate to reflect current engagement status.
    • Identify opportunities for personalized outreach to increase application completion and enrollment yield.
    • Perform additional duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred); Strong typing skills with high accuracy; Excellent organizational and time management abilities; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.

Language Skills: English required.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, students, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database systems; experience with Jenzabar preferred.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions.  While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; the employee is frequently required to sit.  The person is occasionally required to stand and walk.  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.


Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, though moderate noise can occur at meetings and social events.  It is a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
