Course Curriculum Developer/Adjunct Instructor of Spanish-English Courses for Online Delivery
Gateway Seminary invites applications for an online course curriculum developer/adjunct instructor of Spanish-English courses, as part of the Master of Theological Essentials (MTE) degree offered online in Spanish. Currently, there are two courses to be developed; namely, New Testament Introduction I and New Testament Introduction II.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The course curriculum developer/adjunct instructor will:
- Create curriculum for asynchronous online course delivery primarily in Spanish—including video lectures, assignments, assessments, etc.
- Teach asynchronous course(s) online in Spanish, in accordance with the goals and objectives of the department.
- Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting course objectives and provide timely student feedback primarily in Spanish.
- Assess student mastery of course materials and assign final course grade from evaluation of tests, quizzes, homework, and other assignments and activities related to the course.
Qualifications: An appropriate terminal degree from an accredited (regional and/or ATS) institution in a related field (i.e., New Testament Studies) is required, as well as the ability to teach online in Spanish. Experience developing course curriculum for online delivery and/or teaching online is preferable but not essential. The candidate’s background should reflect an ability to function in a multi-cultural context. A successful candidate must affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, as well as the mission and vision statements of the Seminary. Rank and salary: Curriculum development and adjunct instruction are paid at $1,000 per credit hour, per written agreement.
