Jordan Williams

Director, Master of Arts in Christian Counseling Program | Assistant Professor of Biblical Counseling

Dr. Jordan Williams serves as director of Gateway Seminary’s Master of Arts in Christian Counseling (MACC) program and as assistant professor of biblical counseling. He is a certified biblical counselor with the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) and the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He earned his doctorate at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where his research focused on a biblical counseling approach to understanding and addressing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) through Scripture’s anthropology. Dr. Williams has also contributed writings to the Biblical Counseling Coalition.

He has served in several ministry contexts, including youth, pastoral, and counseling ministries. In 2022, Dr. Williams founded Storyline Biblical Counseling, a parachurch counseling ministry, where he offers biblical counseling help to others.

Dr. Jordan Williams is married to Dr. Chessa Williams, who is assistant professor of worship arts and ministry and the program director of worship arts at California Baptist University. Jordan and Chessa are parents to Judah Eliot. As a family, they enjoy exploring California—especially its beaches, coffee shops, and cuisine.
