Our beloved pastor is retiring, and we are seeking for the man whom God has called to be the next leader of our church. Please see below for a description of the position, ideal qualifications, and responsibilities of the senior pastor.

Purpose of Position:
1. To define the vision of the church and lead in its mission through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God’s Holy Bible.
2. To preach and teach God’s Word and lead the church in worship and spiritual growth.
3. To lead church and staff in efforts to make disciples, win the lost and minister to the body of Christ.

Ideal Qualifications:
1. Licensed and Ordained Minister with at least a Master’s Degree from an accredited Baptist Seminary and at least 5 years of previous church-related work experience.
2. Ability to work tactfully and harmoniously with church staff, congregation, deacon body and all committees.
3. Organizational and leadership skills to supervise, delegate and appoint, ensuring the smooth operation and mission of the church.

Responsibilities:
1. The pastor will be the spiritual leader of the church, demonstrating servant leadership through commitment, work ethic and Godly behavior.
2. The pastor will be responsible for the administration and guidance of all church programs.
3. The pastor will be responsible for the supervision of all staff members and employed personnel.
4. The pastor will oversee the finances of the church, working both with the Budget and Finance Team and deacons.
5. The pastor will oversee all maintenance and repairs for the church plant and grounds.
6. The pastor will perform weddings and funerals at his discretion.
7. The pastor will oversee the calling of new staff members and employed personnel.
8. The pastor will lead the church in missions activities to spread the Gospel.
