Worship Pastor Job Description

Role Type: Full Time; Salaried
Responsible to: Lead Pastor
Oversees: Family Ministries (Children and Student Ministry)
Member of Teams: Church Staff, Worship Ministry

The vision of Valley Fellowship Church is to ensure that anyone that calls Valley home has the tools to thrive at home so that the next generation worships Jesus in their home.

Purpose
To create vision and strategy for all areas of worship at Valley Fellowship Church. To raise up our people to lead creativity, music, production, social, and online.

Regular practice of spiritual disciplines and personal growth strategies

In agreement with the beliefs, values and By-laws of Valley Fellowship Church
Use the musical gifts God has given you to lead in worship environments
Knowledge of Planning Center Online and ProPresenter
Must understand music and be able to create charts and tracks for services
Experience with IEMs (In Ear Monitors) and playing to a click is required
Lead teams and individuals to see your fruit grow on other people’s trees
Work with other staff, supervisors and elders to help implement Worship Ministry vision and strategy into the church
Create new initiatives to reach unchurched families in our community
Must have a heart for the lost and broken and giving consistent input to ministry leadership with them in mind

Experience
Experience in development, management and leadership of volunteer teams is required
Exposure and understanding of worship in various sizes of modern, relevant churches

Experience
Salary is commensurate with experience, $60-$80k

About Us

This is an exciting time of growth, renewal and a fresh start at Valley Fellowship. After over seventy years of impactful ministry in Buena Vista and Chaffee County, it is a new season of ministry in our church. Our Lead Pastor, Brett Crimmel, just joined our team this year and brings over 25 years of pastoring young, growing churches primarily in Colorado - starting, merging and leading churches - developing leaders at every level.

Our Worship Ministry is ready for a strong leader with a bold vision. Our facility and complete AVL system are being renovated and upgraded. BV is desperate for a great worship environment - hundreds of young adults move here for the summer and literally tens of thousands of visitors vacation here. The impact we can make is immeasurable in-person, online and beyond. With volunteers and resources waiting, the new Worship Pastor will have the opportunity to cast a vibrant vision, develop teams and leaders, and see families reached with the life-changing message of the gospel.
