Steeleville Baptist Church - Steeleville Illinois
Website: http://steelevillebaptist.com
Steeleville Baptist Church of Steeleville, Illinois, is prayerfully seeking a full-time Lead Pastor.
Our church is a multigenerational church that has experienced substantial growth over the last five years. We are located in a town of 2,100 within a county of over 30,000 in Southern Illinois (rural Midwestern culture). With an average Sunday morning attendance that has grown to near 300 with much further growth potential, God has already provided funds (over 60%) for us to be ready to break ground on a welcome center and multipurpose facility. This construction project, which will grow our church’s impact with the Gospel, is already approved by the church and scheduled to take place in 2020.
Our church is seeking a Pastor with an evangelistic heart, a desire to develop leaders, a love for missions, and a family that is ready to be loved by the church and involved in community life. He must strongly affirm and support the Southern Baptist Faith and Message 2000, demonstrate strong support of Southern Baptist cooperative ministry, and hold to a "whosoever will" understanding of salvation. Our next Pastor will be involved in leading the church during the physical building of our ministry expansion (with the support of a diligent building committee) and seeing many more souls reached with God’s love in the years that follow the project’s completion.
Benefits for the Pastor include an appropriate compensation package, family medical coverage, retirement, paid vacation/personal days, mileage reimbursement, and convention expenses. Involvement in denominational missions and ministry is encouraged.
Interested applicants can provide their resume, along with a cover letter, to Mark Bradley, Committee Chair, at steelevillebaptistsearch@gmail.com.
