Lubbock has some of the best people on the planet! Seriously, these folks are kind and caring. Lubbock isn't the prettiest place, but the people are amazing. That said, Lubbock weather is generally pretty nice and we're not far from the mountains of New Mexico. Lubbock is a big, small town. There are about 250,000 people but it still feels like you know lots of people. And for not being a major city, there are lots of great places to eat and some decent stores to shop at. The biggest thing, especially for a college pastor - Texas Tech University! It's a great campus. TTU brings a lot of energy and fun opportunities to the community. We also have Lubbock Christian University, South Plains College, and Wayland Baptist University all close by. Seriously, being a college pastor in Lubbock is awesome!

Nicknamed “Hub City” for being the major economic, educational, and health-care hub of the region, Lubbock is considered a large city by the US Census and it’s only getting bigger. Everything truly is bigger in Texas. There is no denying that the “Hub of the Plains” is a great place to live, work, and go to school. Don’t believe us?
