Rock Island Baptist Church, a smaller community outside of the Greater Wenatchee Valley is seeking resumes to fill the role as Pastor for this smaller congregation in Rock Island, Washington.

Rock Island Baptist Church is a small congregation that currently meet in a building that will seat 50-60 people in its sanctuary. It has an attached fellowship hall and a small classroom. The church also owns a 4-bedroom parsonage which is located on the property. The church has recently made some improvements to its buildings with a new stage platform, new paint both interior and exterior, and a new roof.

As a church in the last 2 years we saw good growth with young families which was encouraging. As churches are struggling to bring families into the fellowship it is an even bigger challenge for a small congregation to meet those needs.

For the past 2 years our church has been thriving in our country's difficult times. We had strong attendance and good fellowship and had seen good growth and attendance with a new pastor.

As with most churches it is our vision to minister to this small community which is largely unchurched. It is a mission field right here in our own country.

Being small and having limited resources it may be necessary for a larger commitment from the candidate we seek for the role as a new senior pastor. We may need the candidate to consider to be bi-vocational until growth so we can fully support the pastor. The candidate will need to have good leadership skills to encourage and place people in supporting roles to aid in the ministry of this congregation.

It is a clean slate and can be built from the ground up with a good foundation that has been prepared.
