Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and spiritually mature Children’s Ministry Pastor (or Leader) who will lead, develop, and shepherd our children’s ministry (1st grade to 5th grade) in English. This individual must be a born-again believer, have a Christ-like servant heart, and be committed to teaching the entirety of God’s Word from a fundamental perspective. The Children’s Pastor will foster an environment where children are nurtured in faith, feel genuinely loved, and are encouraged to build lasting relationships with Jesus and others.
Key Responsibilities:
Spiritual Leadership
• Teach Scripture faithfully and engagingly to children in alignment with the church’s fundamental doctrine.
• Cultivate a Christ-centered, gospel-rich environment for children to grow in faith and character.
• Pray regularly for and with children, families, and ministry volunteers.
Ministry Oversight
• Plan and oversee all aspects of children’s ministry, including Sunday mornings, midweek programs, events, and outreach.
• Develop age-appropriate curricula rooted in Scripture and sound theology.
• Ensure all children’s programming is safe, welcoming, and spiritually enriching.
• Ensure weekly Sunday Worship & Bible Study, VBS, Monthly Activity, mid-week discipleship, and other annual special events.
Volunteer Leadership
• Recruit, train, and shepherd a team of committed volunteers.
• Provide clear vision, direction, and encouragement to all children's ministry leaders.
• Model Christ-like leadership, humility, and a spirit of servanthood.
Family Engagement
• Partner with parents and guardians to support their role as the primary spiritual leaders in the home.
• Offer encouragement, biblical resources, and occasional family discipleship training.
Administrative Duties
• Maintain ministry records, budgets, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with church policies for safety and child protection.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to integrate children’s ministry with the life of the church.
Qualifications:
• A born-again Christian with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• A life that reflects the character of Christ and a servant-hearted calling to ministry.
• Agreement with the church’s fundamental theological convictions and statement of faith.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching children the Bible effectively and relationally.
• A heart for shepherding children and equipping families to raise godly young disciples.
• Excellent relational, organizational, and communication skills.
• Holds a degree or is in training to receive a degree in Christian education, ministry, or a related field.
