Palestine Baptist Church (PBC) is seeking a Part-time Youth Pastor who has a passion for youth ministry and is committed to coming alongside students to provide spiritual and visionary leadership by creating authentic environments for fellowship, worship, biblical teaching, discipleship and evangelism. This is part-time position with a competitive hourly wage.
Responsibilities:
• Create a dynamic youth ministry that is engaging for the youth in our community
• Facilitate weekly gatherings for discipleship (Wednesday evening) and small group conversation (Sunday Morning).
• Connect with students quickly while communicating clear biblical truths
• Be a disciple-maker, pouring into students each week and encouraging them to bring a friend
• Thrive on creating biblically accurate, culturally relevant, spirit-led and high-attraction teaching content
• Take an active interest in the lives of the youth by connecting regularly and participating in events such as school visits, outreach events and community get-togethers
• Offer youth opportunities to attend larger Christian functions such as concerts, camps, mission trips, youth conventions and youth retreats
• Recruit, develop and equip volunteers to serve in youth ministry
• Provide guidance and support for youth and parents
• Develop and maintain an online presence via social media platforms to maintain communication with students and parents
• Implement all necessary policies and procedures in support of providing a safe environment for youth
• All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Highly relational with proven ability to relate with youth and adults
• Proven leadership qualities and experience working with a team of people
• Experience in leading a youth group
• Ability to lead and interact with youth and adults
• Self-motivated, ability to self-evaluate and positively respond to feedback
• Engages in church community by being a part of a life group and serving in the community
• High social media acumen
• Requires the ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly, both written and verbal
• Education in Biblical Studies, Theology, or Youth Ministry, or Counseling highly preferred
