Position Overview -
We are seeking a relationally-wired, spiritually-grounded, and highly-motivated Associate / Student Pastor to lead our Student Ministry (middle & high school students) while also making significant contributions to the broader ministry of the church. This individual would provide highly-engaging biblical teaching, develop meaningful relationships with students & families, and serve faithfully as part of the church’s leadership team.

Key Responsibilities -

STUDENT MINISTRY
● Develop & deliver highly-engaging messages and content to students & parents.
● Plan & oversee weekly Student Ministry get-togethers, retreats, and special events.
● Create & foster personal relationships with students through evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral care.
● Proactively engage parents & families, encouraging involvement in their student’s spiritual growth.
● Recruit, train, & lead a team of volunteer leaders to support the Student Ministry.

PASTORAL LEADERSHIP
● Serve as a key leader, contributing to pastoral leadership, staff meetings, and strategic vision.
● Provide pastoral counseling, hospital visits, and spiritual care to church members as needed.
● Participate on Sunday mornings, leading teams & building connections with the entire church.
● Collaborate with others to support the overall mission, vision, and values of orchardcommunity.church.
● Maintain effective communication with students, parents, volunteers, staff, & the church Executive Team.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
● Organize ministry schedules, events, and teams using Planning Center, Google Docs, and email.
● Participate in regular staff meetings, 1-on-1’s with the Lead Pastor, and strategic planning sessions.
● Other activities and duties as necessary.

Professional Qualifications -

● A growing & vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
● A clear calling to pastoral ministry, with a heart for connecting with students & families.
○ A spouse that is supportive of and aligned with their calling to pastoral ministry.
● A minimum of 3 years of ministry experience (student or pastoral ministry preferred).
● Relational leader with strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
○ Ability to develop & sustain meaningful relationships with students & families.
● Proven record of recruiting, equipping, and leading volunteers with clarity & encouragement..
● Alignment with orchardcommunity.church’s mission, vision, and values.
○ A humble, teachable spirit, with a willingness to learn from & work closely with the Lead Pastor.
● Ability to pass a background check & faithfully adhere to all child protection / safety policies.

Compensation & Benefits -

Salary: $54-72,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Hours: Full-time employment (6 weeks paid vacation / year)
Benefits: Eligible for housing allowance (tax-exempt) under IRS clergy rules
