Purpose for Fulfilment of Position:
Josh McDowell said, "Unless something is done now to change the spiritual state of our young people—you will become the last Christian generation." According to Barna, a faith research group, 91% of evangelical Christian kids said, “There is no truth apart from myself.” No wonder Barna believes that "ministry to children is the single most strategic ministry in God's kingdom" and that "the greatest hope for the local church lies in raising godly children."
The purpose for this position is to make sure that Mandarin Baptist Church Gives every attention possible to empowering parents to take the leading role in equipping, encouraging, and evangelizing their children, as well as providing an engaging environment in the church to prepare children a lifelong foundation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee children and Family ministries including parents, youth, and college. A simultaneous concentration to both equipping parents as well as children. Periodic preaching in the English Service.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Personal Qualifications:
o Diligent to maintain a growing walk with Christ through a faithful practice of spiritual disciplines.
o Works diligently to maintain strong relationships with family.
o Practices Biblical stewardship by living within God’s provisions and faithfully tithing.
• Experience:
o 2 years or more experience as associate level pastor and or ministry leader.
o Experience with children, youth, and college ministries.
o Experience with preaching, sermon preparation, and officiating a service.
• Education Requirements:
o MDiv. or equivalent, or in pursuit of an MDiv or equivalent (75% complete) from a Southern Baptist or comparable theological seminary.

Additional Notes
• Passion for apologetics
• Applicant must be a visionary.
• Applicant must be mission minded, with some experience in leading missions.
• Mandarin speaking is a plus but not required.
