Description:
LIFE Christian Church is currently looking for a Family Ministry Director to lead our church in effectively reaching the next generation. This includes discipling the families in our church and outreaching to the broader community. The ideal candidate will lead parents and children, as well as manage volunteers.
Principal Function:
The Family Ministry Director is responsible to the church, supervised by the pastor, to lead the family ministry of our church.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead our Family LIFE Groups; disciple and strengthen parents in their walk with Christ.
- Partner with parents to disciple their children; provide training, support, and resources so parents can effectively lead their children to love Jesus.
- Lead our Children’s Sunday School; include biblical teaching and gospel witness.
- Recruit, train, and mobilize children’s ministry volunteers.
- Develop and implement an effective program of outreach to families in our broader community, including VBS.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor to provide support.
Qualifications:
- Eagerly desire for the next generation to love Jesus.
- A willingness to become a member of LIFE Christian Church.
- Able to teach the Bible and present the gospel to children.
- Able to build relationships with parents and support them.
- Bachelor’s degree minimum preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience discipling parents and teaching children preferred.
