Korean Baptist Church of San Jose (KBCSJ), located in San Jose of Northern California, is an SBC-affiliated church with a vision of being a restoring community that gives life and raises disciples. We are prayerfully seeking a Part-Time English Ministry (EM) Pastor/Minister to shepherd and disciple our Youth and Young Adults through gospel-centered worship, biblical teaching, and relational ministry.

1. Position
• Part-Time EM Pastor/Minister (1 opening)
o Primary focus: Youth & Young Adults worship, teaching, and discipleship
2. Key Responsibilities (Approx. 16 hours/week)
Weekly Gatherings & Preparation
• Friday Youth Gathering (3 hrs/week)
o Bible study + activities / community building
• Sunday EM Worship Sermon (1 hr/week)
o Preach for Youth/Young Adults (English)
• Sunday Young Adults Bible Study (2 hrs/week)
o Lead and facilitate discussion (English)
• Staff Meeting (2 hrs/week)
• Sermon & Bible Study Preparation (4 hrs/week)
o Exegesis, application, lesson planning, small group guides, etc.
Pastoral Care (Weekdays — 4 hrs/week)
• Discipleship, mentoring, follow-up care, and pastoral visits as needed
Special Events
• Plan and lead Youth/Young Adults retreats and ministry events (seasonal/as scheduled)

3. Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in or graduated from an SBC seminary or undergraduate program, or another biblically faithful, healthy seminary program
• A genuine love for English-speaking Youth and Young Adults, with a commitment to relational discipleship and spiritual formation
• Able to preach and lead Bible studies in English
• Korean language ability is a plus (not required); interest in Korean culture is welcomed
• Legally able to live and serve in the United States
• In agreement with Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and able to joyfully partner with the church’s direction and Senior Pastor
4. Compensation
• Compensation will follow church guidelines and will be discussed during the interview process.
• The expected monthly compensation range is $3,000 ~ $3,600, depending on qualifications, experience, and scope of ministry.
