Job Description:
At Irvine Baptist Church, our English Ministry (EM) consists primarily of Korean-American college students and young adults in their 20s and early 30s. The EM currently has worship together with the youth group on Sunday and holds their own Bible studies and fellowship events on Wednesday nights. Biblical literacy, fellowship, outreach, and missions have been the main emphases of our EM. In addition to continuing to lead healthy growth in these areas, we are looking for a pastor who can act as a mentor and counselor to intentionally disciple and shepherd our EM members. Our EM currently has a core group of 9 members, and we are looking for a pastor who can lead steady, healthy numerical growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Preaching on a weekly basis.
- Intentional discipleship of EM members.
- Planning and leading outreach and evangelism at nearby college campuses.
- Engaging in missions and discipling EM to live with a missional mindset.
- Planning and leading retreats.
- Creating a yearly calendar and budget for the EM.
- Working together with church leadership to facilitate unity and cooperation.
Job Requirements:
- Pursuing or Completed Graduate Level Theological Education
- Fluent in English (Korean is a plus, but not required)
