Job Description:
Hillcrest Baptist Church, Clarksville, TN is searching for a full-time pastor who is called to shepherd a congregation of all ages. We are a mission-oriented ministry, located in North Central TN. Founded on biblical truth, focused on family values, and passionate about extending Christ's grace to all. Prospective Pastor Profile

Experience
The Pastor is preferred to have a minimum of 5 years experience as senior pastor or associate pastor.

Education
The Pastor is preferred to have a Bible/Seminary collegiate diploma/degree in the field of ministry.

Duties
*Prepare for and conduct worship services – Sunday (morning and evening), Wednesday
(evening), and any special services.
*Lead in observance of the ordinances.
*Lead the church in an effective evangelism and outreach program utilizing innovative techniques and
social media applications.
*Coordinate with the deacon body in leading the church to visit and meet the needs of the sick,
home bound, widows and widowers, and bereaved.
*Officiate biblical weddings and funerals upon request.
*Provide counseling (premarital counseling, grief counseling, etc.)
*Advise and work with committees as needed to accomplish goals and missions.
*Oversee ministerial and support staff.
*Work with staff and committees to promote innovative and effective ministries and missions of
Hillcrest Baptist Church.
*Lead efforts for connecting with non church attenders to increase attendance and participation in
church worship and activities.
*Train and develop current and future leaders of the church body.
*Coordinate with Cumberland Baptist Association to evangelize and train the church body utilizing
Church and Family Life Center assets.


Affiliations and Doctrinal Alignment
*Support the ministry and witness of the Tennessee Baptist Convention.
*Support the Southern Baptist Convention as the primary means of involvement in International
and North American missions.
*Be in doctrinal alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Job Qualifications:
*A clear sense of calling to this ministry and evangelism.
*A solid financial track record regarding personal/family finances as well as a proven stewardship of
church/ministry finances and budgets.
*Good organizational and leadership skills.
*Solid preaching/teaching ability.
