Role and Responsibilities

The role of the Worship Minister is to cultivate an environment for people to worship Jesus Christ through congregational singing, preaching, and prayer.



General responsibilities of the position

• Minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to the church, and in particular worship ministry participants, through music.
• Lead regular worship practices and meetings in preparation for weekly Sunday Worship gatherings.
• Provide Audio/Media oversight and implementation as the ministry requires.
• Coordinate with the Lead Pastor and the worship ministry team to for worship gatherings.
• Act in love, compassion, and care as a minister of the gospel at Grace Maricopa.
• Coordinate with the pastoral staff to plan and execute music events annually.


General character and theological requirements of the position

• Must have a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must be in full agreement with Grace Maricopa statement of faith.
• Must have a genuine call and commitment to ministry at Grace Maricopa (1Timothy 4:15).
• Must be a communicator and collaborator.
• Must be a visionary and possess the ability to actualize the vision.
• Must be a creative problem solver.
• Must have advanced skills on guitar or keyboard.
• Must have the ability and desire to be the lead vocalist.
• Must attend a weekly church staff meeting.



Additional Notes
This position reports to the Lead Pastor and is expected to become full time.
