Role and Responsibilities

The Student Minister is the pastoral lead providing direct oversight for Youth ministries (6th -12th grade) and for volunteer leaders.



General responsibilities of the position

• Have a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Provide spiritual oversight of the Youth at Grace Maricopa.
• Conduct weekly Youth ministries.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to plan and execute multiple ministry events throughout the year.
• Recruit children and youth ministry volunteers.
• Must attend and participate in all Grace Maricopa worship and ministry gatherings.



General character and theological requirements of the position

• Must be in full agreement with Grace Maricopa Statement of Faith.
• Must possess a genuine call and commitment to Pastoral Ministry at Grace Maricopa.
• Must be a communicator and collaborator who builds teams.
• Must be a visionary and possess the ability to actualize vision.
• Must be a creative problem solver.
• Must have some theological training and in pursuit of an accredited Master of Divinity degree.
• Must have the ability to build Christian community within Grace Maricopa.
• Must attend a weekly church staff meeting.



Additional Notes

This position reports to the Lead Pastor and is expected to become full time.
