Role and Responsibilities

The Associate Pastor will assist the Lead Pastor in providing direct oversight for all ministries of Grace Maricopa.


General responsibilities of the position

• Have a vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Have a deep, personal devotion to God’s Word, prayer, and seeking the Lord within the church community.
• Provide spiritual oversight to guide, guard, and protect the Church.
• Prepare a preach sermons to edify and teach the Church.
• Work with Lead Pastor to plan and execute multiple ministry events throughout the year.
• Must attend and participate in all worship and ministry gatherings.
• Must work on-site in multi-staff office environment (part-time).



General character and theological requirements of the position

• Must be in full agreement with Grace Maricopa Statement of Faith.
• Must possess a genuine call and commitment to Pastoral Ministry at Grace Maricopa.
• Must be a communicator and collaborator who builds teams.
• Must be a visionary and possess the ability to actualize vision.
• Must be a creative problem solver.
• Must have some theological training and in pursuit of an accredited Master of Divinity degree.
• Must attend weekly church staff meetings.



Additional Notes

This position reports to the Lead Pastor and is expected to become full time.
