Grace Church (an Evangelical Free Church) is currently searching for the next person to reach out to young people and help us fulfill our vision to “Become Christlike people transferring the faith from generation to generation in our community and the world.”
As Youth Pastor, you will seek to guide our church in reaching teens and helping them grow into a close relationship with Christ and impact their world for Him.
Grace Church is a congregation of roughly 300 located in beautiful Mesa, Arizona, less than a mile from a local high school and with just a few miles of 5 more.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Youth Pastor Status: Fulltime
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Principle Function:
Youth Ministries of the church.
Qualifications:
1. Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from a Christian institution.
2. Minimum Required/Skills:
• Pastoral and relational skills and the ability to be enthusiastic
presence for leading youth
• 2 Years’ experience working with youth in a church
• Skilled in organization and interpersonal relationships
• Pass a background check
3. Preferred abilities:
• Preach on occasion
• Minimum 2-year commitment
Requirements and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the
ongoing spiritual disciplines.
2. Commit to and support the vision, mission, Constitution and Bylaws of
Grace Church.
3. Develop a vision, goals, and strategic plan for the Youth Ministry and
implement that vision
4. Create and oversee policies and procedures to provide a safe, quality
environment for youth
5. Seek to encourage and equip parents to fulfill their responsibility as
primary faith educators of their children
6. Recruit and equip volunteers and student leaders who will minister to
and disciple other students
7. Lead students from 7th– 12th grade into a growing relationship with
Jesus Christ through Bible teaching, mentoring and life example
8. Coordinate and lead weekly youth meetings along with other events
including, but not limited to, Sunday school, Bible studies, camps,
outreach, etc. This also involves purchasing supplies and coordinating
adult volunteers
9. Coordinate and lead Sunday Evening family ministry meeting (Grace
Family). This meeting is to facilitate discipleship within families
10. Care for, spend time with and disciple students from grades 7 through
12
11. Lead Youth Retreats and encourage mission involvement
12. Provide counseling for students and parents as needed
13. Communicate regularly with parents
