ABOUT GLEN MEADOWS BAPTIST CHURCH

Glen Meadows Baptist Church is a thriving, multi-generational church located in the heart of San Angelo. With more than 1,200 people gathering weekly, the church is experiencing a season of remarkable momentum—marked by growing attendance, significant numbers of baptisms, and a strong sense that God is doing something special in this community. Everything the church does centers on helping people discover their God-given purpose and grow as disciples of Jesus. The culture of the church is rooted in prayer, authentic community, and a deep commitment to developing disciple-makers who influence their families, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods with the hope of the gospel.

At the center of the church’s future is a bold vision known as “Project 145,” inspired by Psalm 145:4—one generation declaring God’s works to the next. Through this initiative, the church is seeking to raise up hundreds of new disciple-making leaders, equip thousands of disciples, and spark tens of thousands of gospel conversations across the region and beyond. This vision is already shaping the ministry of the church as they prepare for continued growth, including the construction of a new 90,000-square-foot facility designed to serve future generations and expand their impact in the community.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
To help advance this vision, Glen Meadows Baptist Church is seeking a passionate Youth Pastor who will invest deeply in the spiritual formation of middle school and high school students while building a thriving, disciple-making student ministry. This leader will play a key role in helping students grow in their faith and equipping volunteer leaders who can disciple the next generation. The ideal candidate will be a mature follower of Jesus who loves students, communicates Scripture clearly, and leads with humility, energy, and vision.

Key aspects of the role include:
• Teaching and communicating God’s Word in engaging and biblically faithful ways to students
• Building authentic relationships with middle school and high school students
• Recruiting, developing, and leading a team of volunteer leaders who disciple students
• Creating environments where students experience community, spiritual growth, and mission
• Partnering with parents to support the spiritual development of their teenagers
• Collaborating with the church staff team to align the student ministry with the broader vision of the church

This opportunity is about far more than running programs—it’s about shaping the next generation of disciples and leaders. The next Youth Pastor will help cultivate a culture where students know Jesus deeply, live out their faith boldly, and influence their schools and friendships with the hope of the gospel. The church is looking for a leader who is spiritually healthy, relationally driven, and excited to invest in the lives of students while developing others to lead alongside them.
