Student Pastor
First Baptist Clermont - Clermont, FL
Salary/Range: $65K-$70K
Purpose
A Youth Pastor will be responsible for leading the student ministry. and overseeing the children’s ministry. He will have a passion for student ministry which includes both personally and at a ministry level within a multi-generational congregation. This Pastor has a passion for the Word of God, and the conviction and confidence to always be moving the congregation to be fully devoted followers of Christ and to serve. He lives out the Great Commission by sharing the gospel boldly.
Key Accountabilities
Student Ministry
• Casts a vision for the Youth Ministry by recruiting and developing volunteers.
• Lead and organize effective student programs which will fulfill our purposes of: evangelism, worship, discipleship, ministry and fellowship.
• Review and select curriculum and educational materials.
• Develop and implement an integrated plan that builds year after year, while effectively reaching out to the extended community of Clermont. This includes building and maintaining close relationships with the schools in our community.
• Provide counseling and develop the students of the youth on an individual basis.
• Develop a ministry which enables parents to effectively evangelize and disciple their youth.
• Administrate the ministry through effective planning while maintaining the budget, and delegating tasks as needed.
• Gains consensus and alignment with the church and ministry leaders, involving them in the process of setting a vision and creating action plans.
• Cast and maintain a vision to reach and evangelize with students; as well as the surrounding community by planning events and inviting them to church.
Qualifications
Required
• Minimum of 2-5 years successful associate/youth pastoral tenure.
• Demonstrate a high level of competency and excellence in the study of the scriptures, church leadership, organization, and equipping the church to be disciples.
Desired
• Graduate of an accredited Seminary compatible with the Church’s doctrine.
• Is capable of expository preaching
Experience
• Experienced working with and providing pastoral care to students.
• Proven leader in organizing, communicating, and positively engaging with students.
• Ability to organize, motivate, and work through others.
• Warm and outgoing personality, approachable.
• Ability to work under the pressure of criticism and/or deadlines.
• Works as a team player and inter-dependently.
• Well-developed organizational skills.
• Must be self-starting, flexible, and innovative.
