Meet Fielder Church:
It all started in 1957. A farmer who owned the land on the corner of Fielder Road and Highway 303 had a dream. In his dream there was a church on the corner, the lights were on and the sound of songs emanated from within. Soon, that vision would become a reality, and the people of Fielder Road Baptist Church would build that building on the corner. Half a century later, Arlington has changed, and so has the church.
The city has grown… so has Fielder Church. Though the roofline for the original building crafted by the hands of its founders can still be seen, Fielder Church now worships in six different venues in central and southwest Arlington and Grand Prairie.
The culture of the city has changed… so has the culture of Fielder church. Striving to reflect the rich diversity of Arlington, Fielder takes great joy in being the church of many ethnicities and generations. Fielder offers a variety of worship styles in English and Spanish supporting the church’s belief that when we celebrate our differences, we make room for different opinions, ideas and methods. We believe everyone is unique and that we need everyone to make a Kingdom difference.
The city has modernized… so has Fielder Church. While celebrating the rich history of it’s roots, the church embraces a myriad of techniques and technologies that are useful in impacting today’s families.
Some things; however, never change. At our core is the belief that Jesus Christ is the only hope of meaningful life change, not only for Arlington, but for the world. As much as buildings and technologies are useful tools, it’s still people that matter to God… and Fielder Church still wants to be about the things that matter to God.
We are living out the vision to “Inhale and Exhale the Gospel and make Disciples who do the same”.
Focus on Vision
Inhaling The Gospel: We inhale the Gospel by reading His word daily, praying often, and practicing the spiritual disciplines.
Religion teaches: I obey; therefore I am accepted.
The Gospel teaches: I am accepted; therefore I obey.
The gospel is the message that Jesus was righteous for us when we couldn’t be, and by faith in Christ we are made righteous and fully accepted by God. The natural result of belief in the gospel is:
Confidence that comes from knowing that we are loved by our Creator.
A humility that comes from knowing that we don’t deserve His love… nor did we earn it.
Diversity resulting from a gospel born desire to not only welcome all cultures but intentionally pursue them.
Exhaling The Gospel: If you breathe in, you can’t help but breathe out. The exhale of the gospel is living in such a way that people see the gospel in you, hear the gospel from you, and feel the gospel through you.
See: the testimony of a godly life
Hear: the message of the gospel explained
Feel: the love of the gospel displayed
Our goal is to exhale the Gospel with intentionality through 5 main avenues:
Generosity – Generous giving inspires the world to look upon the church and thus the church’s Savior, Jesus, with favor.
Sacrificial Serving – We invest in others both inside and outside the church in the name of Jesus.
Missional Living – The greatest missionary army is the people of God who are like Jesus right where they live.
Church Planting – God’s only plan for the redemption of humanity is the church. There is no “plan B.”
Multi–Site–Fielder Church is one church in many locations so that many people can have access to the Gospel through our church.
Making Disciples: We have a culture of making, “disciple-making” disciples, and we initiate that process in 2 primary places:
Discipleship Groups (D-Groups) – These are gender-based groups of 3 to 5 people, who are being taught to obey what Christ commanded.
Community Groups – These are mid-sized groups that help one another inhale and exhale the Gospel week-to-week.

Nicknamed “The American Dream City,” Arlington lives up to its reputation by offering a great education system with affordable housing, a strong job market, and more recreational opportunities than you will know what to do with. From the massive and diverse University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) to the more affordable but still high-quality Tarrant County College, there are educational opportunities for everyone. It is number 4 in “best cities to raise a family,” making it the dream home for so many. Money Magazine also refers to Arlington as the “Best Big City” in the South because, here, you don’t have to sacrifice the urban lifestyle for the simple southern living. It is a city that is good for all ages and stages of life!
With Dallas and Fort Worth only 15-20 miles away on each side, Arlington has quick access to other metropolitan areas. Being only a few miles away, DFW Airport gives international access, which only adds to the extensive diversity you will find in Arlington. Not only is it a diverse city, but it is also a young city with over half of the population being under the age of 45.
The entertainment opportunities in Arlington are not sacrificed for its low cost of living. In fact, the city has been named the “entertainment capital of Texas.” It is home to Six Flags Over Texas, a great place to get outside for a little family fun, or you can check out AT&T Stadium to watch the Dallas Cowboys, visit the Choctaw Stadium to see the Rangers baseball team, or attend one of the many concerts at either venue. If you want to slow down and enjoy a more leisurely activity, you can check out the Arlington Museum of Art or go fishing in Lake Arlington.
Being one of the best places to live in Texas, Arlington will not disappoint. This great city is home to many different types of people and has something to offer everyone!
