Dolan Springs Baptist Church is seeking a person called by God to serve as its pastor with a passion to reach the lost, make disciples, and to preach and teach the uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The church resides in Dolan Springs, a rural northwest Arizona, Mohave County community that is located 83 miles south of Las Vegas, Nevada. Amenities are few with a small general store, some small tourist-targeted eateries, a post office, seven churches, two small retail stores (i.e., Dollar General),
ambulance service, fire department, and an elementary school. Full medical and shopping privileges are afforded in Kingman, Arizona, 36 miles to the south. The town had a 2020 census population of 1,674; however, there is a fast-growing influx of transplants from surrounding states. Many residents are
retirees and there is an ever-changing “snowbird” population also.

We are a congregationally led church that adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000 Edition. The church motto is, “Where God is given the glory.” The church mission statement is, “To preach salvation by faith in Jesus Christ, to disciple believers in Bible teaching, to fellowship together in love, and to
glorify Christ in everything.” The church was founded in 1984 and has been at its current location since 1985. Worship style is casual with a mix of traditional and contemporary music. The building was recently remodeled.

This position consists of a part-time work schedule that allows generous time for exploring the high desert environment as well as working a part-time job. Compensation package consists of:
- Annual Salary of $10,100
- Use of a three-bedroom 1100 sq ft parsonage (market value of $700/month)
- Church-paid utilities (valued at $425/month)

Duties for this 20 hr/week part-time position will be divided between:
- sermon preparation
- preaching once on Sunday mornings and conducting a Bible study mid-week
- coordinating with the music ministry to complement the Sunday morning sermons
- officiating special occasions in the life of the church (weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc.)
- visiting church members who are ill, hospitalized, and grieving
- coordinating with church members to reach out to the local community via visitation, potlucks, etc.
