Job Summary:
Crossroads Church is seeking a Christ-centered, passionate, and organized Children’s Director to lead and grow our children’s ministry (birth through 5th grade). This role is vital in fostering a caring and spiritually enriching environment where children can encounter Jesus and grow in their faith. The ideal candidate will be a team player who reflects the character of Christ and aligns with the mission and values of Crossroads Church.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Weekly Programming: Plan and implement dynamic Sunday services and mid-week programs for children, birth through 5th grade.
Organize Events: Develop and lead special events and outreach opportunities that engage children and families.
Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and support a team of volunteers who serve in children’s ministry.
Summer Camp Coordination: Organize and lead a summer camp experience for 4th-5th graders.
Parent Engagement: Maintain consistent communication with parents to support spiritual development at home.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Engage Director and other ministry leaders, including participation in meetings and alignment with Crossroads Cares initiatives.
Administrative Duties: Manage children’s ministry budget and administrative tasks related to the role.
Other Duties as Assigned: Flexibly respond to church-wide needs and ministry opportunities as directed.
Qualifications:
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to Crossroads Church’s mission and values
Experience in children’s ministry leadership (preferred)
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with families and volunteers
High energy, creativity, and a heart for reaching and discipling children
