Director of Connections and Discipleship - Part Time

The Director of Connections and Discipleship (“C&D Director”) is responsible for formulating and implementing a Connection Plan which integrates visitors into our church and guides them all the way to being active members. They will not be the person responsible for teaching new member classes or doing formal interviews for membership but will be expected to be the manager of the process and help the Elder Board with assimilating people into the CBC community.
The C&D Director will also lead the weekly student gathering. This will involve leading studies, planning events, and connecting with students. Additionally, the director will be responsible for helping parents to disciple their teenagers. This will mean meeting with parents, providing resources and monthly challenges, and modeling family worship.
As a staff member, the C&D Director will be expected to meet with and disciple individuals as part of our Church’s goal of making disciples who make disciples.
In addition to this, the C&D Director is expected to help in general church activities as needed and directed by the Elder Board.
The candidate must be self-motivated and ideally either has or is working towards a degree in theology. They must possess the ability to teach small and medium sized groups. A successful candidate must also be comfortable being an initiator of relationships and able to disciple people of varied ages. CBC is a fast-growing church, and its staff needs to be flexible and able to meet needs without being directed. The position is a part-time position paying $31,000/year.
