Chinese Evangelical Church of Portland is seeking a full-time English Ministry Pastor to preach regularly, shepherd the English congregation of about 50 people, and serve on the Elder Team in leading the church.The candidate must meet the New Testament qualifications for an elder, affirm the church’s Statement of Faith and doctrinal distinctives, hold an MDiv (or equivalent), and have experience in local church ministry; experience in immigrant or multicultural churches is preferred, and Mandarin ability is helpful but not required. Responsibilities include preaching, providing pastoral care, overseeing the English worship team, Life Groups, and Sunday School, and equipping members for evangelism and discipleship. The pastor will also collaborate closely with the Chinese Ministry Pastor, Youth Pastor, Children’s Ministry Director, and other church leaders to support the overall mission of the church.
