Spiritual Development Pastor

Cedar Grove Community Church - Livermore, CA

Salary/Range: TBD

Website: http://www.cedargrove.org

Cedar Grove is a nondenominational, 75-year-old church of approximately 400+ people on a given Sunday that is in the beginning stages of revitalization. Today, we are recharged with new leadership and new resources to pursue a new impact in our community and the world. The year before COVID we experienced 25-30% growth. Today we are seeing new people and families visiting every week. Cedar Grove has a strong leadership team, including a new Lead Pastor with significant church growth experience…and we believe that God is just getting started with us. We are motivated to see what He can do through ordinary people who trust in an extraordinary God.

That’s where you come into play. We want you to know that we see this as a pivotal role. The right person for this position has the potential to make a dramatic impact not only in our church but in our community…and beyond. Vibrant churches are pretty rare in the Bay Area and many more are needed in what has become one of the most influential corners of the world. We want to be one of them.

We are looking for the kind of person who is energized more by building and shaping a ministry rather than maintaining something that already exists. While we won’t compromise biblical truth we want to discover new ways to make Jesus known together. In an ever-changing and unpredictable world, faithfulness, innovation, focus, and leadership — in the context of a trusted and unified team — are important to us.

We also want you to know that we want to invest in you and get you the resources that you need to do the job and grow as a servant-leader. We believe in the power of Christ-centered, courageous, Holy Spirit-enabled people who share a common vision, enjoy meaningful relationships, and are headed in the same direction together.

CGCC is located in the heart of Livermore, California, a town of approximately 90,000 people, the home to 50+ vineyards, and in a beautiful corner of the country. Within a three-hour drive, you can find spectacular places like Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley, Carmel, and of course, San Francisco. It is a special place to live and raise a family.
