Breakwater Community Church (Southern Baptist) began meeting in 2017 in Oceanside, California. We are a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church. We are looking for a student intern(s) or recent graduate(s) who believes in the Word of God (as truth), loves Christ, and is committed to repentance and faith in Christ.
We are inviting young men studying for Masters of Divinity who are looking to learn and practice modern ministry in Oceanside. Pastor Roger VanDerWerken is a Westminster Seminary graduate and a former Navy Chaplain. Executive Pastor Peter Kennedy is a graduate of Bethel Theological Seminary-West. We will work closely with the Gateway Seminary Staff to ensure all internship/field education requirements are met. We are looking at 7-10 hours per week and we can initially reimburse tuition to interns who become members of Breakwater Community Church. The ideal candidate would like to be the Breakwater Community Church Senior Pastor within 5-7 years.
