Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing audiovisual support for classes and special events. 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The following duties are considered essential to the job. With or without reasonable accommodation, qualified individuals must have the ability to:
  • Coordinate schedules of all AV Techs and Classroom Aides, ensuring that all seminary needs are covered, while also serving in an “unrestricted on-call” capacity for departmental needs.
  • Set up audiovisual equipment for professors, staff, faculty, etc. as needed or directed.
  • Work with professors, staff, faculty, visitors, etc. as needed to set up presentations, music, etc.
  • Set up/break down chapel equipment, such as microphones, cables, musical equipment, etc.
  • Operate soundboard and other AV equipment as necessary.
  • Verify and enter audio visual set up requests in the AV master calendar.
  • Support the Recording Studio including recording, editing, and end-user training.
  • Assist the IT team with end-user computer support.
  • Perform additional duties as required by management.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience with the following is a plus: Zoom conferencing software, AV presentation systems, digital audio mixing boards, wired and wireless microphones, video mixing boards, streaming software/hardware, Pro Presenter, Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere), Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows and Mac computers and operating systems.
Skills: Language Skills: Must be able to read, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate and safely perform work; Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers and fractions.

Other Skills: Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation; Must be self-motivated; Ability to pay attention to detail and follow directions; Must be available to work flexible schedule with some evenings and Saturdays as needed, and to come in if/when urgently needed by the team.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk continuously, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to twist, bend, climb stairs, move furniture and equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, though moderate noise can occur at meetings and social events. It is a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
