Dr. Max Stabenow is an Associate Professor of Leadership Formation and serves as the Director of the San Francisco Campus of Gateway Seminary. Max loves teaching and providing administrative leadership. He considers it a tremendous privilege to help train those called to serve the local church. Max is deeply committed to discipleship.
He believes the aim of education is to lead individuals to love God with their heart, soul, and mind, and to equip them to teach others to do the same, regardless of the academic discipline or vocational calling. His research interests include the history and philosophy of education, Christian worldview development, historical theology, and educational leadership training. Max is married to Sarah. They both homeschool their three children. Some of their family goals include visiting every National Park within the contiguous 48 United States, hiking a minimum of 125 miles each year, and camping as often as possible.
