Principle Function: The minister oversees the student ministry (grades 6-12) within the vision and mission of TCATB. This includes leading, teaching, organizing, conducting the ministry, and helping students become Jesus Christ's disciples.
Principle Accountabilities: Wednesday night student worship, one night per week involved with schools or community youth events, one outreach event per month, assist in Sunday worship services, assist in pastoral care duties, expect the typical work week to be 37 – 45 hours and to include office hours.
Desired Qualifications: Interested candidates must be called to student ministry, possess a strong relationship with Christ through the spiritual disciplines, be an excellent communicator, be gospel-driven, have experience leading student ministry at an SBC church, have high moral character (above reproach), and be humble. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
Working Conditions: While not a physically labor-intensive job, physical requirements are essential for success.
Compensation and Benefits: The church pays a full-time salary based on knowledge, experience, and education. Benefits include continuing education reimbursement, church-paid 403(b) contributions, and paid time off.
Extra Responsibilities: It is imperative that the called minister is a team player and is willing to perform other duties as assigned.
