Mt. Zion Baptist Church exists to Glorify God by Making Disciples of All Nations.

We believe God is worthy of all our worship and that mankind exists to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever. We desire to equip God's people through sound teaching, building community among one another, and through opportunities of service.

Our church campus is located in a growing community in Cherokee County, 30 miles north of Atlanta, GA.


The Pastor to Students will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan for all activities, events, and trips for middle school and high school students at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He will do this with a commitment to teaching biblical truth with the goal of evangelism and disciple making.


A believer by salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ and a firm commitment to His Lordship.
A calling to the ministry and this type of work within the church.
An intense desire to bring others to Christ and to see them grow to spiritual maturity.
A person of strong moral character who is not engaged in activities that would grieve the Holy Spirit or violate the membership covenant of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
A commitment to the inerrancy, infallibility, and inspiration of God's Word.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Actively pursuing a Seminary degree or a ministry degree from a Bible college.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Direct the planning, organizing, conducting, coordinating, and ongoing evaluation of a comprehensive program of Christian education, discipleship, missions opportunities, camps, weekend retreats, and events for students.
Develop the Youth Sunday School organizational structure to promote accountability in reaching all members and prospects as an important outreach and in-reach tool.
Prepare and administer the approved annual budget for the student ministry of the church.
Study new material, programs, curriculum and educational methods utilized by the church for student ministry.
Offer biblical counsel to students and parents during times of need.
Partner with and support parents as the primary disciple makers in the home.
