Kernville Baptist Church is situated in the town of Kernville, California, a small mountain community of approximately 1,500 people. Church membership includes not only those who reside in Kernville, but those who live across the Kern River Valley.
The town is nestled near where the Kern River flows into Isabella Lake. Kernville offers world-class river rafting, amazing trails to hike and bike, water sports, incredible campgrounds and phenomenal fishing. And those activities are just scraping the surface. Kernville is a tourist destination with a thriving local community.
Kernville Baptist Church is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead and guide our congregation into the next season of ministry. Our pastor:
✔ Must have a strong personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and a passion to see the kingdom of God advance in his own life, in the community in which he serves, and throughout the world.
✔ Must meet the qualifications for an overseer specified in 1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3.
✔ Must be ordained by a Christian denomination. He must be willing to be ordained as a Southern Baptist minister.
✔ Must adhere fundamentally to the Baptist Faith and Message.
✔ Should be currently enrolled in or have completed seminary. Higher levels of education would be amazing.
✔ Should have at least 5 years ministry experience.
