ABOUT THE CHURCH:
Colts Neck Community Church is a healthy, vibrant congregation whose mission is to declare and demonstrate the grace of Jesus Christ. We are a gospel-centered community of redeemed sinners longing strengthen the faith of believers and reach the lost. Our church has grown from 40 to 500 regular worshippers in ten years, which has created a tremendous need for pastoral care and Christian community. Our church is nestled in a beautiful farm town in Central New Jersey, only 20 minutes away from the beach.

PURPOSE of the POSITION:
This Associate Pastor will be called upon to lead the small group ministry as he also helps to shepherd and care for the entire congregation. We are looking for: 1.) A Gospel-centered, Word-saturated, discipleship-focused approach to small group ministry 2.) A pastor who genuinely enjoys caring for the needs of the flock 3.) A pastor who has been gifted in the areas of Biblical counseling and relational shepherding.

QUALIFICATIONS of the CANDIDATE:
 He is a born again follower of Jesus Christ (John 3:3, Matt 7:21-23).
 Can affirm sound Biblical doctrine with a clear conscience (1 Timothy 1:18-19).
 Fulfills the character requirements of pastoral ministry (1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).
 Loves and leads his family well (1 Tim 5:8, 1 Cor 11:3).
 Loves to serve in the local church (2 Tim 2:15, 1 Peter 5:1-4).
 Has theological training (Seminary education preferred) and has experience leading in a local church.
 Is gifted in Biblical counseling, exhortation and organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Assist the Lead Pastor in shepherding the entire church.
 Organize and implement a system of weekly small group gatherings.
 Recruit and train small group leaders to faithfully facilitate Biblical study.
 Host your own regular small group meeting.
 Individual and direct communication with church members through counseling and phone calls on a weekly basis.
 Assist the Lead Pastor in hospital, shut-in and home visitations.
 Recruit, equip and mobilize volunteers to serve.

COMPENSATION and SUPERVISION
 Supervision: The Associate Pastor will be supervised by the Lead Pastor and responsible to the church.
 Salary: (Negotiable depending on experience). A healthcare stipend is included in the annual salary.
