Children’s Ministry Role Summary
City Life is looking for a person who works well with children and is passionate about Children's Ministry! The church membership/denominational background of the Children’s Ministry Director is not a primary consideration. Instead, he or she need only have a faith in Christ and do his or her best to be like him. Hospitality and a warm welcoming attitude is essential to effectively fulfilling the position. While the role is primarily managing and delivering childcare, we are looking for someone who is willing to prepare and teach a Bible lesson and handle other miscellaneous aspects of Children’s Ministry as listed below:
Responsibilities
Sunday Mornings and Special Events
Arrive early enough to set up and welcome families and children
Prepare a mini program for kids on Sunday mornings that includes circle time/songs, teaching a Bible Lesson using children’s church curriculum, craft/coloring, monthly memory verse
Print color pages or prepare a simple craft
Offer a snack for children depending on venue, etc.
Other Aspects
Recruit and coordinate volunteers for special events or on certain Sundays that require more hands for more children
Send email communications to parents
Communicate bi-monthly in staff calls (or as needed with church admin)
Keep children’s storage supplies organized and in stock (contact admin. for help placing orders)
Flexibility and adjusting responsibilities may be required if change/growth occurs
Helping with miscellaneous aspects of the Children's Ministry programs.
Requirements
Experience with children
Experience in Children’s Ministry preferred but not required
Background check/fingerprints
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
Ability to Relocate:
Sacramento, CA 95818: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sacramento, CA 95818
